Welcome to Buru Energy

Kimberley Girl and Pilbara Girl is a successful pathways program for young Indigenous women between the ages of 16 – 25 around the North West, aimed at personal development, confidence building, community engagement and leadership. The program has been running for 19 years now, and despite the challenges of Covid-19, organisers were able to deliver a strong and effective program for the young women involved.

Pre-program activities took place over a number of weeks in Karratha and Broome with the main activities and finals event held at Goolarri Amphitheatre in Broome on Friday October 7th. Activities included formal and informal workshops including career planning, establishing self-development plans, positive imaging and affirmations, financial management as well as health, grooming and modelling.

Buru Energy has been sponsoring the Kimberley Girl Program since 2017 and proudly sponsored the program again in 2022. Sponsorships like Buru’s ensure the continuous running of these programs in the Kimberley
